2026: We celebrate the rural women who drive our country’s forestry and timber value chain.

2026 is declared by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as the International Year of Rural Women.
We want to recognize the contribution, leadership, and innovative capacity of women in rural areas in the face of the challenges of sustainable development; promoting inclusion, providing opportunities, and fostering growth for future generations.
At LUMIN, we want to acknowledge the women who work every day to make our purpose of being leaders in the sustainable management of forest products from Uruguay to the world possible.
That is why, throughout this year, we will be sharing different stories of rural women working in the forest-wood value chain in various roles and activities.
