As part of our activity throughout Women’s Month in March and our ongoing commitment to gender equity, LUMIN was proud to take part in the workshop “Leadership and Equity in the Forestry Sector” at the Northeast University Center in Tacuarembó.

Our HR Manager, Mara Pisano, shared how LUMIN has embedded gender equity across its operations, giving examples of the company’s strategies over the years which have led to the creation of more inclusive opportunities. She also highlighted her personal commitment to championing gender policies across LUMIN’s entire value chain, including employees, contractors, suppliers, and LUMIN-supported projects.

In addition, Paola Molina, LUMIN’s Head of Nursery, shared her experiences as a forestry engineer, discussing the challenges and opportunities for women in the sector. She also provided insights into her career at LUMIN and offered advice to the next generation of women looking to build their careers in forestry.
